Sondra Wenger

Sondra Wenger is Head Commercial Real Estate, Americas for CBRE Investment Management. In her current role, Sondra is responsible for providing overall leadership, strategic vision, and driving growth in the commercial real estate sector at CBRE Investment Management. This includes overseeing acquisitions and asset management. She holds key positions within the organization, serving as a member of the Americas Investment Committee for Commercial Direct Real Estate, the CBRE Scientific Advisory Board, and the Portfolio Oversight Committee. Additionally, Sondra leads the community pillar for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, emphasizing the importance of these values within the firm.

Before joining CBRE Investment Management in 2021, Sondra held senior executive positions at institutions such as CIM Group, General Electric, and Equity Office Properties. In these roles, she was responsible for formulating and executing real estate investment strategies for these firms. Sondra has been involved in a wide range of transactions, including equity and debt positions in various asset types such as office, life science, medical office, storage, retail, apartments, condominiums, industrial, data centers, cold storage, hotels, and mixed-use properties. Her expertise extends to both domestic and international markets, having successfully sourced, negotiated, and closed over $20 billion worth of transactions in multiple cities.

Beyond her role at CBRE, Sondra serves as a Board Member for NYRP, CA South, and American Ventures. She is an active member of the Real Estate Roundtable and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Within ULI, she holds the position of Membership Chair on the Executive Board for the Urban Mixed-Use Development Gold Council and is a member of the New York ULI Advisory Board.

Sondra’s contributions to the industry have been recognized through various accolades, including Turn Around Atlas Awards – Distressed Deal of the Year, the Green Goddess Award from the New York Restoration Project, being named one of Bisnow’s Los Angeles Power Women andGlobeSt.com Women of Influence for Investment Professional and Mentor of the Year, and receiving the NAWRB Commercial Leader Award, the U.S. House of Representatives Commercial Leaders Award.

Himesh Gandhi

Himesh Gandhi is a Shareholder at Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey PC. Mr. Gandhi represents local individuals and businesses in a wide variety of complex business transactions. His primary focus is in the areas of commercial real estate and assisting clients in acquisition, disposition, capitalization and formation of companies. Mr. Gandhi’s real estate practice involves all aspects of commercial real estate including acquisition, development, capitalization, financing, leasing and disposition. Additionally, Mr. Gandhi is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Gandhi’s corporate law practice is devoted to formation and structuring of commercial entities in addition to acquisition, capitalization, financing and disposition, and contract review and analysis.

In addition to practicing law, Mr. Gandhi believes strongly in community service. In 2012, Mr. Gandhi was elected to Sugar Land City Council and became the youngest at-large councilman in the history of the city when taking office at the age of 35. He currently is serving in his third term on City Council and has also served as the Mayor Pro-Tem.

Mr. Gandhi has served as a board member for several community organizations, including the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, Child Advocates of Fort Bend and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Arc of Fort Bend.

In 2015, Mr. Gandhi was named a recipient of the prestigious Houston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 awards.

Thomas C. Washmon

Thomas C. Washmon is President and General Counsel of Privateer Capital Management, LP, a closely held, multi-strategy private investment platform headquartered in Austin, Texas. Prior to joining Privateer Capital, Tom practiced law for fifteen years and was a partner in several law firms acting as a strategic advisor to clients in various matters including corporate law, governance, real estate, asset protection, and litigation.

In his leadership capacity at Privateer Capital, Tom serves on the Board of Directors of two of Privateer Capital’s portfolio companies, the Lucena Group, LLC, a global risk management company and Grey Rock Energy Partners, a Dallas based private equity firm focused on the lower and mid-market of non-operated working interests in oil and gas, with more than $450 million of assets and committed capital under management.

Tom was born in the Rio Grande Valley and is a sixth generation Texan. He is a graduate of The Hill School and received a B.A. in European History from Washington and Lee University. After college, he attended the Institute on World Legal Problems at the University of Innsbruck, Austria and received his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. In addition to Tom’s many business responsibilities, he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children.

Dale Jacobson

For years, Kenneth “Dale” Jacobson, CPA, has acted as an Independent Financial & Tax Consultant to American Ventures. Dale has been providing quality, personalized, financial guidance to commercial real estate businesses.

Dale’s expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as audits, financial statements, and financial planning. Dale’s dedication to hard work has earned him the respect of the businesses and financial community in and around the area.

Kenneth A. Munkacy

Ken Munkacy serves as a board member, senior advisor and consultant to numerous investment funds, real estate companies, and their boards.

From 2017 to 2023, he served as the Senior Managing Director of Kingbird Investment Management, responsible for creating and overseeing its investment strategy, acquisitions, joint ventures, and investment management platform in the U.S. During his tenure, Kingbird’s investment portfolio expanded into 14 states and 26 markets, with over 15,000 units/beds in 70 properties, with a GAV of $2.9B. Kingbird invested at all levels of the capital stack, including preferred equity, GP, Co-GP, and LP positions, in joint ventures with multiple local operating partners. With its first-time fund, Kingbird became a global investment manager with investors from 7 countries, including hedge funds, foundations, pension funds, wealth managers, RIAs, FOs, and insurance companies. Kingbird is a wholly owned subsidiary of a fourth generation, 100-year-old, family office.

With over 33 years of global multi-asset class experience, he has been involved in multiple aspects of the real estate industry, including fund management, capital markets, acquisitions, development, finance, and portfolio management. Mr. Munkacy has led full service real estate investment, development, and operating companies in 12 countries, and 23 states, and has overseen over $4 billion in transactions.

From 2007 to 2017, he served as Senior Vice President of GID Investment Advisers LLC, a vertically integrated real estate investment/operating company and family office, with over 25,000 units and >$20 billion AUM; he also served as a Senior Managing Director of GID International Group, with responsibility for its international real estate investments, joint ventures, and portfolio companies. He also was a member of GID’s Executive and Investment Committees. Previously, Mr. Munkacy served as Senior Managing Director at Starwood Capital/Asia, based in Tokyo where he oversaw investments in Asia. Prior, he was Senior Managing Director of GE Capital Europe (Prague); and Managing Director at TrizecHahn Asia Pacific (Hong Kong). Mr. Munkacy was also a Senior Vice President/Partner overseeing acquisitions/development for Golub & Co., a Chicago real estate investor/developer, where he acquired approximately 19,000 residential units in 10 states, representing over $850 million in value.

Mr. Munkacy received a BA in Economics – Government from Franklin and Marshall College, and a Master of City Planning at the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in real estate development/finance. He has served on approximately 20 public and private boards, including serving as the Vice Chairman of a NASDAQ-listed mortgage REIT. He serves as Co-Chairman of the Global Exchange Council with the Urban Land Institute and is a member of PREA. He has lectured at Wharton Business School, Stanford Business School, NYU Stack Real Estate Program and Columbia University Master of Real Estate Program.
