Mr. Dertien is a capital markets veteran with experience in investment banking and secondary market trading. Pat has been involved in real estate, fintech and the capital markets since 2000, where he was part of the team who launched the first online fixed income execution platform for second and third-tier institutions and dealers. He has a track record of working with family offices, money managers, RIAs, insurance companies and other institutional investors. He has been a manager, co-manager or selling group member in billions of real estate and public finance projects. Additionally, Mr. Dertien has sat on accounting committees, credit committees, boards of directors, and an advisory committee making recommendations to Congress on creative infrastructure financing through a Washington D.C. -based lobbyist.
Mr. Dertien splits his time between Austin and Houston. His is the founding board member of two 501(c)3’s and is an advocate of children’s education and sports. He is a father of 3 and has coached his son’s and daughters’ baseball and softball teams for 7 years. He has supported local non-profits in the Austin area for many years. Mr. Dertien holds an MBA from the University of Manchester’s Manchester Business School in the UK.
